Bergen was a great reader this year and she earned a ticket to Silverwood. She read for 10 hours in the months of Feb. and March. We have such a full summer without a daddy around for most of it and the only day that would work was the 16th. We drove our 21/2 hours (3 hours is you count the detour around Corde'lane lake- which was beautiful). We meet up with our great friends the Peterson's and had a great day. The weather was a perfect 80 degrees and the kids loved the rides. I think the favorite was the log ride and the little roller coaster.
Daddy and Ava after swimming on a evening carousel ride

Chase and Bergen on the Garfield ride
Joseph and Nicholas (2 1/2 year old) twins all by themselves
Chase and Bergen acting out Marry Poppins
Chase and Bergen on Little Toot the roller coaster
Ava loved this ride
Nicole and Vern with the very daring twins
Dumbo the elephant went up and down at the touch of a button
Ava preferred a blue airhead to the Ferris wheel - she wasn't warmed up yet
Hide and seek in the tree house
All the kids loved running around at the tree house.

The parents didn't get a lot of the big coasters in - we'll save it for next time. Nicole and I did enjoyed the big drop and watching all the kids and dads from way up high. Thanks Peterson's that was a blast!!

fun stuff. i will have to go there sometime with my kiddos. we have a hard time with the daddy working so much that it would be hard to squeeze in too! come swim any time. so much more fun for the kids when other kids are there! especially since you have dang cute/good kids!
Good times at Silverwood!! Kudos to you for making the trip up there- that's one of those things that we always meant to do while in the Evergreen State, but just didn't quite get it done...
Oh, and who doesn't love a blue airhead?! Good stuff!!

Oh, fun! I keep wanting to get up there and check out Silverwood...glad to see it's fun for little people like the twins...that means Tanner wouldn't be so hard to entertain. We need to do something fun before you guys are out of here! When in Aaron home again?? Let's plan something! I know, maybe a Christmas in July Christmas party!!?!?
Looks like such a fun time! =) I really like the new family pics you have off to the side. Very cute!
Fun times! We definitely enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to an "adult only" trip to Silverwood! The kids will definitely think we're on our way to a big boring meeting, right? Have FUN on your trip, I'm sad we didn't get to see you again before you left....but I hope you enjoy every minute with your family!!!
It looks like you guys had a blast. Noelle and I are taking an "Adults Only" trip to Silverwood next month and we will be staying in a nearby bed-and-breakfast for a couples days, too. Then in August we plan to take the kidlets to Silverwood on a day trip. So you will have to give us all your tips on what to go do and what not to bother with since it has expanded a lot from the last time I went.
Fun fun, wish we could have went. There is always a next time. Were going to Lagoon next week though!!! I love lagoon-makes me feel like a kid again (memories).
I'm wanting to do Silverwood in August. DO you really need two days there or can you do enough of it in just one??? Please advise! :)
