State Fair 2008 - Yee Haw

Official Seattle wear. The rain has come on and off for the last few days. So we bought some goulashes and had our rain jackets ready. Come to find out Bergen's must be a wind breaker, because she was very wet after an hour in the rain.
Friday brought great excitement at our house. We went to the State fair in Puyallup WA. Bergen came home early from school and we were off. It was oodles of fun, especially if you are 6 and 3.
We were a little late to the Wild Monkey show at the fair. The girls got the best seat in the house, thanks to daddy and grandpa!

Ava loved to drive and Bergen was a little ticked that she wasn't really driving!
Yes that is a big mama in a little hot air balloon ride. They let me go for "free"!
Ava really, really wanted to ride the carousel by herself, without anyone!
That is a camel in the background. We saw animals from around the world. Our favorite to say was a Zedonk - part zebra and part donkey. It was fun to see the girls loving the rides together. We all enjoyed an elephant ear and a strawberry scone, split 6 ways. Thanks Gramma Jan and Grandpa Paul. There was a cool magician, He was amazing we were right up front and Bergen did a magic blow and we gave him a $20 which he punched a hole in a fixed magically. The clowns were very funny and it was only 60 degrees, which beat the 100 degree weather last year. Here is little Hampton the dog. The girls have really loved having him around. He barks for them when they are inside. Fun times!
